July / August 2006 We would like to give you a quick update as to what will be coming in our next newsletter. As you recall each year we have a concentrated mission that happens during the summer vacation period (April, May & first part of June). Mitzu is writing a long update for each of you right now (probably as you are reading this). But a lot of new things are happening, not only during the annual mission but 'after' it. For example: |
Graduation of near to one hundred adult leaders...
An all-nite youth prayer meeting that shook up two villages...
New outreaches into 5 villages with school supplies give-away and groups started...
And now an official approached our workers and asked if we could handle 400 more students...
Expansion of livelihood projects and training programs in the newest FMI mission center.
Not only have we been blessed with a new baby but with a new house (for the next 9 or 10 months). The couple who owns the house have a employment contract with the government and asked us to stay there for 'free'. We pay the gardener and the utilities and that's all. So, we will be able to save alittle until we go back to the Philippines for the mission. With all the exciting things happening over there we are anxious to get back. We want to thank you for all your prayers, donations and 'things' you have given to make this ministry, on the backside of the island of Mindoro in the South China Sea... an ever growing success in reaching children, youth and adults with the good news of Jesus love! Blessings, David and Mitzu |
